Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam movies that are based on the Tamil language. Her acting debut was in the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam, and her Malayalam debut with Annayum is in the film. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. Her mother is the older daughter of a research assistant who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was quite a geek and was a psychiatrist until she completed the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea began studying classical piano as a child at age eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at 10 years of age, formed her base for music and singing. She was also a theatre student at her school as well as appearing in various shows staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. She served as the president of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her professional career in theatre by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo coffee commercial together with the actor Shiva in the year 2006. In 2006, she appeared in a TV serial that was aired on Podhigai. She has appeared in various shows across India. She played a brief role in the final scene of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Andrea appeared as Kalyani the housewife who's husband is involved in been involved in an affair. Andrea was allegedly threatened with a blackmail. Andrea was selected for the role after Simran and Tabu both actresses were approached by the producers. which released in early 2010. She agreed in 2011 to take on a small supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha, which released in August 2011, Annayum Rasoolum was a romantic film produced by Rajeeev R. which was released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
